Welcome to NC POP Tennis

NC POP Tennis (formerly Carolina Paddle Tennis) was created in 2012 as part of an effort to bring the game of POP Tennis to the greater Charlotte region.  Mark Guion of NCPT is working closely with The International POP Tennis Association among others to help make this a reality.

If you support the idea of bringing POP Tennis to the Charlotte area, you can voice your opinion by participating in the poll to the right.

We hope your visit will only whet your appetite for anything POP Tennis.  After perusing the website, if you have any questions, please use the contact us page to leave questions or comments.  We will respond as quickly as possible.

POP Tennis in Indian Trail?
The citizens of the vibrant Town of Indian Trail passed bonds in November for the construction of two parks.  The planning for the projects will reach the final stages in January and February of 2013.  Some of the planners have expressed an interest in learning more about POP Tennis and will put me on the agenda for one or more of their upcoming meetings.  Indian Trail already has two indoor sports facilities (Carolina Courts and Extreme Ice) within its borders and includes baseball and softball complexes in the designs of one of the two new parks, helping add to its image as a sports destination.  Being the only town in the area to offer POP Tennis courts would only enhance that image.

POP Tennis Demonstration at the Park on Wilgrove
A hearty thank you to all who attended the POP Tennis demonstration on Sunday, October 14.  Folks who were unfamiliar with POP Tennis had the opportunity to play and discover just how easy and fun POP Tennis really is.  Click here to see photos from the event.  Judging from all of the smiles, everyone had a blast.

In the News and on the News
NC POP Tennis would like to thank Larry Sprinkle, Natalie Ridley and everyone at WCNC-TV for helping to support the effort to bring POP Tennis to the Charlotte area.  WCNC-TV brought in Mark Guion of NC POP Tennis for a live interview with Larry Sprinkle during the Larry’s Look segment of their morning show on Thursday, October 12, 2012.
